When to Choose Kemet vs. Generic

  • Consider generic alternatives when:
    • You have margin to accept higher failure rates.

    • The application is non‑critical (prototyping, internal tools).

This pricing was accurate as of Q4 2024. The capacitor market changes fast – verify current rates if you’re budgeting for a new project. And if you ever find yourself unsure about a supplier’s quality, grab a multimeter and test a few samples. Jackie taught me that, and it’s stuck.
